In Genesis 1:1-2 we see the doctrine of God. We see that God is really big and that God is really close! God creates by the power of His Word - and yet God is not distant from His creation but is close and provides for His creation. In creation, we find purpose as it points to the glory of God. But we also see the love of God as He enters into the mess humanity has made.
