In Mark 6:1-13 - We see a homecoming and a sending out. Jesus comes home to Nazareth, and the people are offended by Jesus. In the Bible, we see that Jesus, the Bible, and the Gospel are offensive to the world. In this story we also see Jesus sending His disciples out to proclaim a message and help people. But in the sending, we also are reminded that the followers of Jesus will be offensive to an unbelieving world as we go out in grace and truth.
