It's time to get started.
Open my eyes, that I may behold
wondrous things out of your law. (Psalm 119:18)

The Bible contains 66 books and was written by more than 40 authors, inspired by the Holy Spirit, over a period of roughly 1,500 years – spanning three different continents with three different languages. Some of the authors were shepherds, poets, prophets, tax collector, doctors, and kings. It is history, poetry, songs, parables, tragedies, teachings, and prophecies. It ends with how it begins – with God creating something new in the book of Genesis all the way to Revelation with God redeeming creation and establishing the New Heavens and New Earth. Learn how to mine the depths of the wonder and beauty of God's Holy Word.
Throughout the Bible, there are different types of literature: poetry, history, prophecy, parables, and more. It is important for us to learn to read the different types of literature appropriately. For example, we do not read the Psalms the same way we read the historical books. We must learn to understand the context and original audience to understand the original meaning and how we can apply the truth of God's Word to our lives today.
For, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
